We at the Stoughton VFW have undertaken a project to expand our facilities. This includes adding a larger kitchen with space for a walk-in cooler, as well as renovating the bathrooms to be ADA compliant.

The project has been in discussion for over a decade, but the leadership team decided to move forward now due to the increasing costs of construction materials and the urgent need for accessible bathrooms. While we have secured a loan with favorable rates, we are primarily relying on fundraising from the community to cover the expenses.

Construction is expected to be completed by late September or early October of 2024, with the VFW remaining open throughout the process. Fundraising efforts include grant applications, letters to local businesses and veterans organizations, individual donations, and various fundraising events.
